
Jake Goldbas is Find Your Light Deputy Director, educator, and drummer. The detail that characterizes his musical direction has opened important doors beyond genre. In 2019 he recorded for the legendary O’Jays album “The Last Word” and Grammy nominated jazz album “Dancer in Nowhere” by Miho Hazama. Goldbas was the principal drummer for the Tony Award winning broadway show Dear Evan Hansen and is the drummer for Cynthia Erivo. His musical vision is intimately linked to his sense of social justice and global citizenship. He was previously Director of Education Programs at the Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College, and Artistic Director of Programs for the Louis Armstrong House Museum. Under his leadership, the museum’s education programs grew from serving 750 students annually to over 15,000 through in-school, after-school and on-site residencies.
