Hope Stone, Houston, TX
Hope Stone’s mindful arts healing and education program, The Hope Project, serves over 900 children (98% economically disadvantaged) in their schools and facilities through classes in music (drumming, eurhythmics, guitar, keyboard, vocal), theater/spoken word, dance (creative movement, modern, ballet, ethnic), photography, digital arts, and creative emotional intelligence.

DC Youth Orchestra Program, Washington, DC
Since 1960, more than 50,000 students of all backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles have studied and played with DCYOP, toured 24 countries and met and learned from master musicians, including Copland, Yo-Yo Ma and others.

RAW Art Works, Lynn, MA
RAW believes that all kids should be seen and heard and that everyone has a story to tell. Located in Lynn, Massachusetts, RAW offers a variety of free programming from painting to filmmaking, for kids in grades 4-12. RAW uses art to ask kids “What is really going on?” in their lives, giving them the tools to create in unexpected ways, and envision new possibilities for their future.

SAY – The Stuttering Association for the Young, New York, NY
SAY provides free performing arts programming for underserved young people who stutter (PWS), encouraging participants to explore their unique artistic voice and share their work onstage. Too often, PWS receive feedback from a young age that their voices are not meant to be represented in the arts, especially when they face additional socioeconomic obstacles, like most at SAY. Many SAY participants would never set foot on the stage or in the gallery without the support of a community by-and-for people who stutter; an exclusion we seek to correct through advocacy, outreach, & arts education.

San Fernando Valley Youth Chorus, Canoga Park, CA
The San Fernando Valley Youth Chorus (SFVYC) nurtures young singers through high-quality choral training, mentorship, and community performance opportunities that build musical skills, self-confidence, and creative expression. SFVYC has grown into a vital community institution that serves 500+ children and teens yearly, across the greater San Fernando Valley. The Chorus brings rigorous musicianship and inclusive access to young people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
